FINANCE CLERK

Fox Lake Construction LP (FLC) is recruiting a Finance Clerk. Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Clerk is based in Gillam MB and is responsible for the day-to-day office administration of the company including preparing invoices, purchase orders, and general office administration/clerical tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining daily contact with supervisors, employees and vendors/customers
- Responding to queries from the public, vendors and customers and direct them to the correct personnel or destination
- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the General Manager, Finance Controller and Supervisors
- Collecting and recording mail from Gillam, Bird and post office and ensure invoices are stamped or date received is written on them
- Entering all new invoices into Sage 300 for accurate AP listing (processing, verifying and balancing invoices and charging GST and PST where applicable)
- Ensuring cheques received are to be date stamped or date hand written and photocopied and deposited same day
- Preparing purchase orders, enter and process invoice for payment – using Sage 300 Purchase Order module (upon receipt of goods or services from the approved PO the invoice is to be processed)
- Processing payments within 14 business days of goods received
- Maintaining an organized and tidy office
Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience in administrative and clerical procedures, keyboard skills
- Knowledge/experience in customer service principles and practices
- Knowledge/experience in working with Sage 300 accounting system is preferred (training will be provided if necessary)
- Ability to follow directions and work productively with limited supervision and under constant deadlines
- Ability to carry out basic financial procedures – continuous training provided
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good verbal and written communication skills
